Parent Participation

Parent Help
We welcome help from parents/carers around the school. Your child's teacher may ask for help for particular projects, or perhaps set up a roster for 'parent help' in the classroom. Adult helpers are also often requested for excursions and other events.

School Association

The School Association Management Committee is an elected group of about ten parents, teachers and community members which assists in key decisions concerning school policy, budget and resources, and school management. The Chairperson for 2018 is Suzanne Clauson.
School Association meetings are held approximately monthly on Tuesday evenings in the Library, and all are welcome to attend. Dates are advertised in our school newsletter.

Please note that any adults helping or volunteering at school must have a Working with Vulnerable People registration. You can apply for this here. Make sure you select 'Department of Education' and 'Waimea Heights Primary School' in the drop down menus.
