Parent Participation

Parent Help
We welcome help from parents/carers around the school. Your child's teacher may ask for help for particular projects, or perhaps set up a roster for 'parent help' in the classroom. Adult helpers are also often requested for excursions and other events.

School Association

The School Association Management Committee is an elected group of about ten parents, teachers and community members which assists in key decisions concerning school policy, budget and resources, and school management. The Chairperson for 2017 is James Charlton.
The School Association maintains close links with Parents and Friends. School Association meetings are held approximately monthly on Tuesday evenings in the Library, and all are welcome to attend. Dates are advertised in our school newsletter.

Parents and Friends

The Parents and Friends (P & F) is a committee of the School Association. It provides a great opportunity for parents to be involved with the School.
The role of the Parents and Friends Committee is twofold:

It acts as a fundraising body for the School.
The Uniform Shop is managed and staffed voluntarily by parents and provide a continual source of income for the P & F Committee. Other fundraising activities such as cake stalls, raffles and quiz nights are organised throughout the year, and a Fair is run every second year.
Money raised by the P & F Committee is spent on equipment or maintenance around the School and its grounds, as requested by staff and parents.

The Committee organises social events for the School.
The aim of these events is to welcome families and friends of the School community and to provide them with opportunities to meet other parents. Events include barbecues, quiz nights and morning teas.

Meetings are held about every six weeks on a Tuesday evening at 7.00 pm in the Library. Everyone is very welcome to attend. Meetings are held about every six weeks on a Tuesday evening at 7.00 pm in the Library. Everyone is very welcome to attend.
